Making Memories Monday

So, we had another fun Monday this week. We started out taking a hike in Boulder. The kids did great and had so much fun.

Here is our little Averie...she loves the camera!

Pre hike.

Mid hike getting a ride from daddy

Another pose at a different rock!!

Don't know whyI love this one so much but I do. He just looks so cute holding his water bottle hiking away.

Taking a little break sitting on a stick.

Daddy I fell and scraped my knee

Thanks daddy...I feel better!

Sitting on a rock checking things out

After the hike we took a stop at the park.

Going down the slide with Lincoln. Love how this shot turned out. Minus the scared look on my face!!

The park was fenced in and it was nice to let them just play around.

After our hike and walking Pearl Street we headed to Flatirons Mall to get our family favorite Red Mango!

Don't know why kids love the Escalator but they do...
They would have been content to just up and down the whole time!!!

Hi Mom!
Then we hit the huge sand box outside. Averie quickly made a friend and well Lincoln found the dump truck !

and lots of sand to put in his dump truck

Love my little dude.
Averie showing us her creation.

Time to go.

I just love this one of them walking away together...so cute

Me and my little Princess. She is growing up SO fast

A long day made for some hungry kids so we headed over to Qudoba and got some Naked Burritos!!! Yum!

We checked the mail on the way home and to our surprise we had another fun thing awaiting. A package for our Favorite Auntie Kate. It was titled Summer Fun. It is always exiting to get a package in the mail from Auntie Kate!!!

We told them after they cleaned up and were ready for bed they could open the package. Baths went VERY quick that night. Lincoln got a tool book, which he hasn't stopped playing with and his new summer hat

Averie and her treasures. She also got a summer hat and a book and journal.

Thanks again Auntie Kate...we love you!!!

We had such a GREAT day. One thing I have been trying to do is find something new every week that we can do that is free or very close to it. If anyone has suggestions I am open. Think local park hopping and a picnic is on the agenda next.

So, lately we have really enjoyed our family time on Monday. Last week it was the Museum and this week we enjoyed several fun places. First we started off by going to Boulder for a hike.

Museum Monday

Last Monday we went to the Children's Museum. This time Danton was able to go and we were able to enjoy the Bubble Room!!!

First Averie has to be a firefighter and go over all her information in case of an emergency. Then Lincoln took a shot at the 911 phone call and was quite fun to listen to.

The Bubble Room. Averie was so excited to go to this room. Here she is standing in a cage of bubbles.
Here she is blowing on it. Pretty cool!

Dragging the bubbles

Our little Ballerina!

He loves the art room. Painting is his favorite!

Our other little artist!

Ballet Recital

Last weekend was Averie's Ballet Recital. I may be biased but I think think she is a beautiful ballerina.

She was a little nervous her first night but she rocked it her second performance. She LOVES to dance and we do a lot of dancing around our house.

Kindergarden Graduation

So, I can't believe she is done with KG. Here is a picture of her on her last day of school.

Getting her Diploma

Averie and her friend Aiden.

Mrs. B (teacher's asst), Averie, and Mrs. Pears (her teacher)

We will miss them SO much next year. They did such a great job with her!!

Things she learned. She has amazing penmanship, she loves to read and is getting better and better. She loves art. She loves math (funny because that's her mom's favorite too!!!!) She just loves to learn and loves school I love that about her and hope it last for a while longer.

Until first grade everyone!!!!

A little catching up to do!!

Danton reading to the 3 little ones! Can you imagine if they were all ours!!!

Lily, Piper, and Lincoln
Averie getting a little cuddle time with Lily

Enjoying some outdoor time eating breakfast. I love that they love being outside and that they enjoy eating as many meals as possible out there.

Averie and her bird feeder. She wanted one and so she and her Papa actually made it. She was so proud of it. We have had many bird friends enjoy it.

Lincoln in his new "big boy" bed. He started climbing out so we had to change things up. He is doing fairly well with it. He doesn't fall out but he does get out about once a night. Most of the time he is still mostly asleep, I can just put him back in and he will got to sleep.

disregard the latest post...Lincoln

So, ignore the Lincoln post because you will see it again. I was in the middle of typing when a little person posted it for me. I haven't finished it and I still have pictures to add. Sorry!

Nebraska and More

We were able to catch up with our GREAT friends Brenda and Emil last weekend in Nebraska. As always we had a blast and laughed a lot. We absolutely love them and love that they love and enjoy our little kiddos as well.

Uncle Emil enjoying Averie's tea

Daddy and Danton enjoying there time as well.

It has been 2 years since we lost Danton's dad to Pancreatic Cancer. We hadn't seen his stone so we all made the trek out to see it. It was also special because for Danton's last speech in his Public Speaking class they were to do a commemorative speech and he choose his dad, and it was a great speech.

Averie helped put new flowers out

This side was dedicated to his military service

This side was dedicated to his family

We had a great time in Nebraska. It would be great to live closer to Emil and Brenda. Maybe someday!!!

On Monday Danton finished up his last class for the Spring Semester!!! I am so impressed with how well he does especially with all that is on his plate. He came away from both classes with A's.
Now we are ready to submit the final paperwork for Paramedic School and selection will be made in a couple months. He has been given verbal acceptance to Denver Health's Paramedic Program and if all goes through he will start in September and it goes until next August. This is a very intense program that will require school 3 nights a week for 4 hours and also 500 clinical hours. Knowing that he will have to put a lot of himself into that program we decided it would be best to take this summer off of school.
So, one person down with school and now we just have Averie. Very bittersweet. I am glad Danton is done but with Averie being done it just means she is growing and is going to be in 1st grade. Where did my little girl go?
